Vegas K. Jarrow was born Vijay Ramanathan and raised on Staten Island, New York. He studied at Rutgers University and trained at Naropa University, where contemplative practice and creative inquiry converge. He has worked as a librarian, a published poet, a podcaster, and a guide — roles that share, at their core, the same essential function: helping others find the thread that leads them home. He is the creator and host of The Truth to Power Show, broadcast on Radio Free Brooklyn, where he has conducted more than three hundred conversations with artists, healers, writers, mystics, and thinkers who have each found their own version of the examined life. His work sits at the intersection of Jungian psychology, mythopoetics, and the radical proposition that a life fully inhabited is its own form of art.
He lives and works in New York City.
